PRIDE SHABBAT
(In-person and Virtual)

Join us for an uplifting outdoor Shabbat service under the tent centered around inclusion and diversity as we celebrate the LGBTQ community!

Featuring a guest sermon by Chicago-based writer/performer/educator Mac Cherney–and then during our rainbow-themed oneg, enjoy an interactive, positive, and all-ages-appropriate performance by his drag persona, Jewish bubbie Merriam Levkowitz!

We will also welcome a representative from Hebrew Free Loan and acknowledge their support for growing Jewish families by means of fertility treatments and adoption, including in the queer community.

Committee Members: Chris Harrison, Alissa Koloff, Emily Korotkin, Stacy Korotkin, Marc Zupmore.

Rainbow challah baked by Laura Gottlieb.

Mac Cherny (@maccherny) is queer Jewish comedian based out of Chicago. Mac is best known for his drag persona, Merriam Levkowitz (@merriamshow), America’s Drag Bubbie. As a playwright, his work has been seen in regional theaters and comedy clubs across the country.

Merriam Levkowitz (@merriamshow) is America’s favorite drag bubbie! Merriam has performed to packed audiences at The Second City, Annoyance Theater, countless comedy festivals, and alongside RuPaul’s Drag Race royalty such as Jinkx Monsoon, Detox, and Willow Pill.
