Friend, Frenemy, or Foe: The True Story of the Rabbi Franklin/Henry Ford Relationship
Join archivist and historian, Robbie Terman as she unboxes the true story behind the myth, using rarely seen archival documents, correspondence and Rabbi Franklin’s own unpublished memoir. There’s a common belief that Rabbi Leo M. Franklin of Temple Beth El and Henry Ford were good friends. Yet, Franklin led the charge to hold Ford accountable for his antisemitic rhetoric in The Dearborn Independent. This year, Robbie will present the case, and then you, the audience, will decide the verdict – Franklin and Ford: friend, frenemy or foe?
