Tikkun Zoom Shavuot: 25 Hours of Online Learning

Program begins on Sunday, June 1 at 5:00pm with a special Kickoff Session – and then there will be different teachers and topics every hour through Monday, June 2 at 6:00pm.

Rabbi Miller will be teaching a session on Sunday evening, June 1, at 9:00 pm entitled: “Behind the Bet: Exploring the Limits of the Story of Creation.”
Unlike other religious and mythological narratives, the Book of Genesis opens with a stunning description about the fundamental nature of our world. But it is later Midrashic texts that truly help us understand that this story is not about the world at all – it is about us, what it means to be human, and our complex relationship with God.

The event is hosted by our friends at Temple Israel in Boston, as a “powerful celebration of community, learning, and connection.” They have done this for four years now, and expect more than 1,000 people from across the country to participate. We are one of at least 11 Temples co-sponsoring the event, and proud to be part of such an innovative, exciting way to celebrate the holiday of Shavuot.
