Lila Corwin Berman, will speak on her newest book The American Jewish Philanthropic Complex: The History of a Multibillion Dollar Institution.

Sparked from a detail found in her book on Detroit, Lila Corwin Berman will reveal how the history of American Jewish philanthropy tells us far more than a simple success story and share the complicated and sometimes troubling history of American state policy, economic inequality, and enfeebled democracy.
