Dear Temple Beth El family,
For 175 years, Temple Beth El has stood as the living tree of Jewish life in Michigan — its roots planted by visionaries who believed in faith, learning, and community.
Today, those roots run deep, nourished by generations who have tended and strengthened this sacred tree, so it continues to flourish in every season.
Now, it is our turn to nurture its continued growth. Our children are its new branches, reaching upward, stretching toward possibility, and carrying our story into the sunlight. In a world filled with uncertainty, it has never been more important to raise strong, grounded Jewish leaders, children who know where they come from, who stand tall in their faith, and who will lead with courage, compassion, and conviction.
This year’s Annual Appeal is not simply about sustaining our Temple, it’s about ensuring that our roots remain strong and that the branches of our future continue to grow with strength and purpose. Your generosity helps our children learn, lead, and live their Jewish story with pride, resilience, and belonging.
Together, we will ensure that the life of Temple Beth El continues to grow — season after season, generation after generation.
With gratitude and hope,
Steve Tarnowsky
