it (partner in the Center for Michigan Jewish Heritage)\n\nIn 1927\, Morri
s Waldman\, executive director of the Jewish Welfare Federation proposed s
omething radical: a birth control clinic. The birth control movement was s
till in its infancy and greatly misunderstood\; yet\, Waldman believed it
to be an essential need in the city of Detroit. He enlisted prominent Temp
