Our Mission:

To nurture and empower bold thinkers through compassion in our Jewish community.

We guarantee

  • Loving teachers - small classes

  • Low student - teacher ratios

  • Exploratory play, art, story-time, gym and outdoor play, music, cooking, and Jewish experiences

  • Weekly themes

  • State of the art playground

When our children walk into the ECC, the warmth and love that only a quality childhood learning center can provide is immediate. Our play-based setting helps our children to feel good about themselves and about learning. We are devoted to ensuring our children and their families a safe, nurturing, relaxed, warm, and loving place where our children can grow and thrive.

At Temple Beth El, Jewish values and traditions are incorporated into our everyday learning center life. Through stories and songs, art and cooking, as well as interaction with our clergy, the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Jewish holidays become a part of each of our children. In addition to finding creative, captivating ways to celebrate the holidays, we also make Shabbat a special time for our school classes. We sing blessings, taste challah and grape juice, and sing Shabbat songs. This is a wonderful and memorable weekly experience our children truly love.

Mazel Tov to our future leaders!

2020 TBE's ECC Moving on Ceremony

Forest Levy Wolfe

Director Early Childhood Center Director

After an extensive search, Temple Beth El is thrilled to announce the appointment of Forest Levy Wolfe as the next Director of our Early Childhood Center beginning in June, 2020. Forest spent ten years directing JCC Day Camps in Austin, Texas and Metro Detroit. More recently, she has been a beloved staff member and volunteer at TBE, serving as a teacher in both our ECC and Masa (Religious School). Her familiarity with our ECC staff, children, and families will help facilitate an easy transition; her vision, energy, and expertise create promise for continued strength and a bright future for our amazing school.

We continue to express tremendous gratitude to Susie Weiner for all she has done to build our program over the past five years. In this time of anxiety in our nation, may this news reassure that we will continue to go “from strength to strength”!
