WAS A HUGH HIT!

We couldn’t have asked for more! A record-setting crowd filled the halls of Temple Beth El, Sunday, March 14 for Sisterhood’s 22nd annual Party Planning Showcase. The Showcase, which more than met its fundraising goals, featured many new vendors with fresh party planning ideas.

Once again, the Showcase would not have been possible without the efforts of several dedicated Sisterhood and Temple staff members. Foremost were the Showcase chairs, Jill Gurwin and Suzette Chaiken whose hard work and tireless determination, made the event an outstanding one. Credit also goes to Dolly Lax who took charge of the raffle and to Patti Phillips, for her invaluable assistance with the direct mail and publicity. Thanks also go to all those Sisterhood members who gave of their Sunday to register and welcome guests and hand out gift bags. And special thank you to Natalie Chaiken, our youngest and most enthusiastic helper.

Many Temple staff members were essential to making this event a success. Our thanks to Tom Jablonski who was there every step of the way and to Marie Curtis who designed the gorgeous ad book, Barbara Grant who placed the advertising and created the press releases, Mark Docks who worked on the many mailings and Marianne Myers, Sue Ellen Simon and Laura Lucassian who fielded phone calls. Thanks too to Mike Salzenstein and Amy Salardi who ensured money came and went speedily and accurately. Finally, we could not have produced this event without the support of our tireless Maintenance Staff headed by Al Friant and Victor Aguilar who spent several days setting up and dismantling the showcase.

We also want to thank Alan Wormser from Barry’s Lets Rent It for providing the tables for the vendors and Sandy Pressley from Creative Balloons who created the fabulous decorations.
