MIKE SHER NAMED TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

At the September 15 Board of Trustees meeting, Mike Sher was nominated to fill a three year term on the Board of Trustees. Mike’s affiliation with Temple Beth El dates back to his Bar Mitzvah and later, his graduation from TBE Religious School. A 1995 graduate of Western Michigan University with a degree in Political Science, Mike was affiliated with AIPAC from 1995-2000 where he served as Key Contact for Congressman Dale Kildee. He continued his community involvement from 2000-2002, when he served as the YAD liaison to the board of Jewish Vocational Service. In 2010, Mike was a member of the Tamarack Committee for Teen and Family Camps.

A Temple member since 2007, Mike serves on the TBE New Membership Committee and was the chair this year of the successful Shabbat, Sports & Schmooze event in June. Mike and his wife, Julie, were married at Temple Beth El. They are the parents of Lucy, Rose and Mollie, all students in TBE Religious School. Mike is an Associate Broker at Max Broock Bloomfield Hills.
