“Walk the Land” in Celebration of Israel’s 60th !

This year’s Independence Day Walk, Sunday, May 4, presents a unique opportunity to join with Israel supporters from across the globe in a world-wide celebration of Israel’s 60th. Sponsored by the Jewish Community Center, and co-sponsored by the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, Israel 60, Temple Israel and the JCC Maccabi Game, the walk begins at 12:15 pm at the West Bloomfield JCC with a Mix & Mingle featuring a complimentary light lunch and music. At 1:15 pm, walkers will head up Drake Road to Temple Israel, re-fuel with ice cream and beverages, then walk back to the JCC, knowing they’ve “walked the land” in support of Israel.
