The United Nations Security Council is expected to vote on creating a State of Palestine inside of Israel, on November 11. This is seen as a threat to Israel’s continued existence.  In The UN General Assembly is expected to recognize a Palestinian “Observer State”, as a backup, even if the expected Security Council vote is vetoed or otherwise blocked.  A media circus is expected in any event.

On Thursday November 3, 2011, the ADL will host a panel discussion between Israel’s Deputy General Consul (Sharah Arieli), the Detroit Free Press Editorial Editor (Stephen Henderson) and the Detroit News Editorial Editor (Nolan Finley), regarding the significance of the threatened United Nations “Palestine” resolution(s), the associated media coverage and signs of bias.  I will be moderating this discussion.

This eye-opening event is scheduled for Thursday November 3, at Temple Beth El.
