1850 Society: Be a Part of It

Throughout its proud history, Temple Beth El has been strengthened by the generosity of its members. Many have taken the important step of including Temple in their estate plans through a gift from their will or trust. Unfortunately, the Temple family has not been able to thank many of these wonderful supporters during their lifetimes, as we have not learned of their act of tzedakah until after the donor’s death.

Plans are in motion for the inaugural luncheon of the 1850 Society, honoring those special members of Temple Beth El, past and present, who have included Temple in their estate plans. By inducting our family and friends who have taken this important step into the Society, TBE honors those who have built, and continue to build, an unbreakable bond between the proud history of our Temple, and its bright future.

The 1850 Society luncheon will take place May 14 at Beth El. Nancy Bechek Bluth and Shelley Roberts of the Long-Range Planning Committee are hard at work to make sure this event will be as special as the individuals whose generosity it recognizes.

If you have included Temple Beth El in your estate plan, we hope you will step forward now, and let us thank you on May 14. If you have been thinking about creating a legacy at Temple, we will be happy to help you finalize your plans. Please contact Tom Jablonski, 248-851-1100, ext. 3124.

We can help you build a lasting legacy—for your Temple, for your family, and for the Jewish community of metropolitan Detroit!
